As the Ministry of Transport, we move the people of Baden-Württemberg - as climate-friendly as possible. How? A journey through the southwest shows that. With e-cars, trains and bicycles.
Our vision is to transform mobility. Baden-Württemberg aims to be completely carbon-neutral by 2040. To achieve this goal, our mobility system needs a profound change. In the Ministry of Transport Baden-Württemberg over 400 people are working on a future mobility that is eco-friendly, connected and safe - in cities and the countryside. Sustainable transport is our DNA – and we are driving change in many different fields of mobility:
- We promote digital developments and innovations, for example by testing autonomous minibuses.
- We support the shift to electric mobility and other eco-friendly propulsion systems.
- We expand public transport.
- We improve and extend the network of cycle paths and footways throughout the state
- We help municipalities in redesigning their city centres.
- And we maintain our road infrastructure with digital tools and modern recycling methods.
